31 December 2020 after the end of the transitional UK withdrawal period, the requirements for payment orders when payments are made between the EU and the UK change. From 1 January 2021 when making payment service providers execute cross-border SEPA credit transfers between an EU Member State and the UK, payment orders will be required to indicate the payer's address in addition to other necessary information. At the same time, we note that the BIC of the payment service provider may also be required if the payment service provider of the payer or the payee so requests. Failure to provide this information may result in payment disapproval or other issues.
